Melodika Interlink Analogue

The most common connection cable between audio devices is an analogue interlink. Usually with RCA Plug and for the more professional connections an XLR plug. The difference is that an XLR interlink transmits the signal double and is less susceptible to interference and external influences. Especially with microphones (weak signal, long cable, large ‘antenna’) an XLR connection is a must. The downside is that every device needs additional electronics to use these XLR connections. The XLR plugs are from the Neutrik brand.

For the home installation, an RCA cable is a great solution. The distances are short (0.5-1.5 m) with a good signal (up to 1.5 V). By choosing an appropriate length, the influence of the cable on the signal is low. Because this signal transmission can skip the extra electronics (twice per connection), the signaling pathway is more direct and therefore less likely to have undesirable effects.
